#4 of 4 hotels in Whiteaker by Axel's take. Whiteaker is #4 of 6 places to stay in Eugene. The best hotels in Whiteaker, ranked · Where to stay in Eugene

Axel's take: 5.4/10

Free parking and sometimes helpful staff cannot offset unreliable room standards. a basic 2-star roadside motel in West Eugene, scored for what it is.

Autzen Inn is a basic 2-star roadside motel in West Eugene, and we'd treat it as a fallback rather than a dependable budget pick. Free parking, WiFi and kitchens in some rooms are useful practical perks. Some guests praise clean beds and accommodating staff, but Expedia's 5.2 overall rating points to a property that struggles even against modest expectations.

The issue is more than dated decor: 2025–2026 reviews describe dirty rooms, stained linens and broken fixtures, alongside satisfied stays. That inconsistency makes it difficult to recommend for families or anyone who needs reliably clean, well-maintained accommodation. Despite the name, this isn't beside Autzen Stadium. Confirm a non-smoking room, the damage deposit and any dog charges before booking.

Best for: drivers needing a basic overnight stop; travelers prioritizing in-room cooking
Watch out for: inconsistent cleanliness and maintenance; smoking and non-smoking room options; damage deposit and dog charges
Location: West Eugene rather than stadium-side; downtown and university visits are more convenient by car.
Rooms: Basic, older rooms; recent guests repeatedly describe worn interiors and broken fixtures.
Cleanliness: Mixed: clean-bed praise sits alongside recent reports of dirt and stained linens.
Service: Helpful staff and easy check-in earn praise, though experiences vary; reception has limited hours.
Amenities: Free parking and WiFi; kitchens available in some rooms—confirm the exact room setup.
Fees and surprises: Damage deposit required; dogs incur additional charges and a deposit. Confirm terms directly.
