Axel's take: 8.5/10

Warm service makes this Creek-side veteran a strong pick, but check nearby construction. An established 5-star city hotel on Dubai Creek in Deira, scored for what it is.

Sheraton Dubai Creek is an established 5-star city hotel whose strongest assets are service, comfortable rooms and its waterfront setting—not cutting-edge design. We'd choose it for an Old Dubai stay or airport stopover. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, thorough housekeeping and breakfast, while Booking.com also scores cleanliness and comfort strongly. Creek-facing rooms are the ones to consider, subject to checking the outlook.

The trade-offs are real: some décor feels dated, and this is a city base rather than a beach resort. More importantly, August and September 2026 guests reported nearby construction, including early-morning noise and an obstructed Creek view. Ask about current works and room positioning before committing. We'd skip it for a quiet resort holiday or if contemporary luxury is the priority.

• Best for: Old Dubai sightseeing; Airport stopovers; Travelers who prioritize attentive service

• Watch out for: Nearby construction reported in August–September 2026; Some dated décor; City setting, not a beach resort

• Location: Creek-side in Deira, with Union Metro within walking distance and convenient airport access.

• Rooms: Generally comfortable and well-sized; some dated finishes, and construction may affect particular Creek views.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across guest feedback, supported by strong Booking.com and Expedia cleanliness ratings.

• Service: Friendly, attentive staff are the clearest recurring reason guests recommend returning.

• Amenities: Outdoor adult and children's pools, spa, gym, several dining outlets and a Club lounge; access conditions apply.

• Fees and surprises: Tourism tax applies; breakfast depends on your booking. Guest parking is complimentary, but there is no airport shuttle.
