#2 of 5 hotels in Bur Dubai by Axel's take. Bur Dubai is #3 of 10 places to stay in Dubai. The best hotels in Bur Dubai, ranked · Where to stay in Dubai

Axel's take: 8.6/10

Spacious rooms and standout staff make this a strong-value Old Dubai base. a practical 4-star city hotel in Bur Dubai, scored for what it is.

This practical 4-star in Bur Dubai, formerly called Four Points Downtown Dubai, is a strong pick for comfortable city stays rather than resort-style lounging. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, while cleanliness and generous room sizes stand out across booking sites. The rooftop pool, gym and on-site dining round out a dependable package. We'd choose it for exploring Old Dubai or a business trip where space and service matter more than glamour.

The main compromise is transport: metro stations are walkable, but not on the doorstep, and guests describe roughly 15–20 minutes to BurJuman. Some mention dated interiors or nighttime street noise, although others report quiet stays. Breakfast generally earns praise but isn't automatically included. We'd skip it for a beach holiday or if effortless metro access is essential.

  • Best for: families wanting spacious city rooms; business travelers seeking good value; Old Dubai explorers

  • Watch out for: a meaningful walk to the metro; some reports of nighttime street noise; breakfast not automatically included

  • Location: Useful Bur Dubai base near shops and restaurants; allow a walk or taxi to metro connections.

  • Rooms: Generous rooms and comfortable beds earn praise; some guests find the interiors dated.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent reviews, with strong housekeeping feedback.

  • Service: Helpful reception, concierge and housekeeping teams are the clearest recurring highlight.

  • Amenities: Rooftop outdoor pool, children's pool, gym and several dining options; kitchenettes are limited to selected suites.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking is complimentary; budget for the city tourism fee and breakfast unless included in your booking. No airport shuttle.
