#5 of 9 hotels in Palm Jumeirah by Axel's take. Palm Jumeirah is #10 of 10 places to stay in Dubai. The best hotels in Palm Jumeirah, ranked · Where to stay in Dubai

Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong family resort, but crowds and renovation disruption temper the luxury. a large, activity-packed 5-star beachfront resort on Palm Jumeirah, scored for what it is.

Atlantis, The Palm is a sprawling 5-star beachfront resort that makes most sense for families planning to use its attractions. Included access to Aquaventure and Lost World Aquarium gives a stay substance beyond the famous façade. Guest ratings are consistently strong, and Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise meticulous housekeeping, spacious rooms and thoughtful staff. We'd choose it for an activity-filled resort holiday rather than understated luxury.

The trade-offs are scale, busy public spaces and queues at peak times, plus a location better suited to staying put than daily city sightseeing. Renovations also deserve attention: September 2026 guests reported construction dust affecting balconies and pool areas, while the operator announced work on Plato's Lounge, Ossiano and the Palm Pool. Confirm completion and restaurant availability before booking. We'd skip it for a quiet couples' retreat.

  • Best for: families with waterpark-loving children; activity-filled beach holidays; travelers spending most days at the resort

  • Watch out for: renovation completion and restaurant availability need confirmation; peak-time crowds and queues; outlying location for city sightseeing

  • Location: Private beachfront on the Palm's crescent; convenient for resort attractions, less so for exploring central Dubai.

  • Rooms: Spacious rooms with sea or Palm views; recent construction reports make balcony exposure worth checking.

  • Cleanliness: A standout strength, with consistently high ratings and repeated praise for attentive housekeeping.

  • Service: Warm, thoughtful staff earn frequent praise, although busy-period delays and uneven problem handling occur.

  • Amenities: Aquaventure and Lost World Aquarium access included, alongside beach, pools, spa and extensive dining.

  • Fees and surprises: Tourism tax applies; breakfast depends on package, and renovation-related venue availability needs checking.
