Soufrière is the choice when the Pitons, reefs and rainforest are the reason you came. The waterfront town offers everyday street life, while surrounding hills trade walk-out convenience for views and privacy. Sulphur Springs, Diamond Falls and Tet Paul make this the natural base for days outdoors; nearby bays add excellent snorkeling and diving.
Don’t confuse staying in town with staying high above it. Steep access roads and scattered beaches make drivers, organised outings or water taxis part of the routine: a car-free holiday is not necessarily a walkable one. Skip it for nightly bar-hopping or frequent trips to Rodney Bay. Its hiking, diving and snorkeling appeal is distinct from convenience for northern spectator events.
Anse Chastanet Beach. Choose this leafy bay for reef access and quieter beach days, rather than easy town wandering.
