Warm service and an excellent location outweigh dated rooms, but not every luxury expectation. An older, full-service 4-star in Dallas’s Arts District, scored for what it is.

Fairmont Dallas is an older, full-service 4-star whose strongest assets are its Arts District location and staff, rather than cutting-edge rooms. It’s a good pick for downtown business trips or museum weekends: recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful employees, clean accommodation and spacious rooms. The large outdoor terrace pool adds a useful leisure extra, with a restaurant, bar and Starbucks downstairs.

The trade-off is age. Dated bathrooms, dark décor and worn finishes recur across reviews, while several 2026 Tripadvisor guests report substantial elevator waits during breakdowns. Those complaints don’t erase the broadly positive guest picture, but they temper the Fairmont name’s luxury promise. Valet parking costs extra, and the hotel lists paid Wi-Fi unless you join ALL.
