Axel's take: 9.3/10

An excellent aparthotel for travelers who value thoughtful rooms and genuinely helpful staff. a small boutique aparthotel near central Bucharest, scored for what it is.

Rosetti is a small boutique aparthotel that delivers exceptionally well on comfort, cleanliness and personal service. Its kitchen-equipped studios make it particularly practical for longer visits, while balcony and terrace categories add outdoor space. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the helpful reception team, well-maintained rooms and comfortable beds; Booking.com’s exceptionally strong ratings reinforce that picture. We'd choose it for a quieter Bucharest base without giving up walkable sightseeing.

The compromises are mostly about the format rather than recurring failures. Breakfast is a preordered bakery delivery, not a conventional hotel buffet, and parking costs extra. You're also outside the Old Town nightlife core, so expect some walking. We'd skip it if a substantial breakfast spread or stepping straight into the evening action matters more than apartment-style convenience.

• Best for: couples seeking a quieter city base; longer stays with self-catering; independent sightseeing

• Watch out for: preordered breakfast rather than a buffet; paid parking; a walk to Old Town nightlife

• Location: Walkable to the Athenaeum and University Square, but outside the Old Town nightlife core.

• Rooms: Kitchen-equipped studios and duplexes; guests praise comfort, with balconies or terraces in selected categories.

• Cleanliness: Consistently strong praise across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor.

• Service: Helpful, welcoming staff are the clearest recurring strength; reception operates around the clock.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, complimentary bicycles, lounge, terrace and laundry services.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast and parking carry extra charges; the hotel also lists a separately charged tourism tax.
