#4 of 9 hotels in Revolution Square & Calea Victoriei by Axel's take. Revolution Square & Calea Victoriei is #1 of 7 places to stay in Bucharest. The best hotels in Revolution Square & Calea Victoriei, ranked · Where to stay in Bucharest

Axel's take: 8.8/10

Generous suites and a walkable location make this a strong Bucharest base. a historic 4-star all-suite hotel near Cișmigiu Gardens, scored for what it is.

Hotel Cismigiu is a historic 4-star all-suite hotel that makes a convincing case for choosing space over big-hotel extras. Its apartment-style accommodation, nearby Cișmigiu Gardens and easy walk to the Old Town suit both sightseeing breaks and longer stays. Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor guests consistently praise the spacious rooms, comfortable beds and cleanliness; helpful reception staff also earn plenty of credit. We'd put it high on the list for travelers who want room to spread out without sacrificing location.

The trade-offs are mostly in the finishing touches. Breakfast in the top-floor restaurant divides opinion, with several recent guests finding the selection ordinary or limited. Some rooms show wear, and occasional service lapses temper otherwise strong feedback. The gym is small, while underground parking costs extra. We'd skip it if polished luxury service or substantial fitness facilities are priorities.

  • Best for: city-break couples; longer stays needing extra space; sightseers exploring on foot

  • Watch out for: mixed breakfast feedback; some room wear and service inconsistencies; small gym

  • Location: Near Cișmigiu Gardens, roughly ten minutes on foot from the Old Town, with metro stations within walking distance.

  • Rooms: Spacious suites with separate living areas; some include kitchens, though recent guests mention occasional wear.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across major booking sites and recent guest reviews.

  • Service: Reception is usually praised as helpful, with a minority reporting curt responses or missed replenishment.

  • Amenities: Two restaurants, free Wi-Fi, meeting facilities and a small gym; the top-floor restaurant has city views.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and airport transfers cost extra; Expedia also lists a city tax payable at the property.
