#6 of 6 hotels in Piața Unirii by Axel's take. Piața Unirii is #5 of 7 places to stay in Bucharest. The best hotels in Piața Unirii, ranked · Where to stay in Bucharest

Axel's take: 6.7/10

Dalin’s location makes sense, but comfort and upkeep are less dependable. a basic, older 3-star near Bucharest’s Unirii Square, scored for what it is.

Dalin is a basic, older 3-star near Unirii Square, best treated as a practical sightseeing base rather than somewhere to linger. Its strongest argument is location: central sights and public transport are within walking distance. Guests also appreciate the generous room sizes and sometimes warmly welcoming staff. We’d consider it for a short, budget-minded stay, but it isn’t a reliably comfortable bargain.

Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly describe dated interiors, while housekeeping and reception attract both praise and criticism. Recent Expedia reviews remain divided, with satisfied stays alongside complaints about missed cleaning and late-night event noise. Bathroom maintenance and scarce accessible sockets also feature in Tripadvisor feedback. We’d skip it if consistent cleanliness, polished service or dependable quiet matter more than location; confirm your room’s smoking status and breakfast arrangements before booking.

  • Best for: budget-minded sightseeing trips; short stays near Unirii Square

  • Watch out for: dated rooms and uneven bathroom upkeep; inconsistent housekeeping and reception; possible late-night event noise

  • Location: Walkable access to Unirii Square and central sights is the most consistent strength.

  • Rooms: Often spacious, but dated; guests mention bathroom maintenance and limited accessible sockets.

  • Cleanliness: Many guests find rooms clean, but repeated housekeeping complaints make consistency a concern.

  • Service: Reception ranges from friendly and helpful to indifferent, including in recent feedback.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, restaurant, bar and lift are listed; confirm breakfast availability and inclusion.

  • Fees and surprises: On-site parking carries a charge; Expedia lists a city tax and both smoking and non-smoking room categories.
