Axel's take: 8.3/10

A strong pick for suite space and college visits, with some maintenance inconsistencies. A practical 3-star, all-suite extended-stay hotel on the Arlington–Cambridge border, scored for what it is.

This 3-star extended-stay hotel is a strong pick for families, college visits and longer stays around Cambridge. Kitchens, roomy suites and included hot breakfast make it practical rather than fancy. Recent Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, comfortable rooms and nearby restaurants; access to walking and cycling trails is another plus. Expedia lists a 2024 remodel, although guest feedback suggests room condition still varies.

The main compromise is consistency: some recent guests mention air-conditioning or plumbing faults, and a smaller number flag carpets or lingering smells against generally positive cleanliness feedback. Staff have resolved several reported problems by changing rooms. Also, Hilton now lists paid parking despite other sites advertising it as free—confirm before booking. We'd choose it for space and neighborhood convenience, but skip it for a downtown sightseeing base or reliably polished rooms.

• Best for: Families who want a kitchen; Harvard and Tufts visitors; Longer Cambridge-area stays

• Watch out for: Parking information conflicts across sites; Occasional maintenance and housekeeping misses; Not a downtown Boston location

• Location: Nearby restaurants, trails and bus connections are useful; Boston sightseeing requires travel.

• Rooms: Kitchen-equipped suites offer useful space; some guests report HVAC or plumbing problems.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised, with scattered recent complaints about carpets, floors and stale smells.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength across major review sites.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, a gym, guest laundry and a Wednesday evening social.

• Fees and surprises: Hilton lists paid garage parking despite free-parking claims elsewhere; pet fees also apply.
