#4 of 9 hotels in Downtown Boise by Axel's take. Downtown Boise is #1 of 6 places to stay in Boise. The best hotels in Downtown Boise, ranked · Where to stay in Boise

Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong downtown base with standout staff, breakfast included, and awkward paid parking. a well-regarded 3-star downtown hotel with breakfast included, scored for what it is.

This 3-star Hampton is a strong pick for exploring Boise on foot, with downtown restaurants, the Boise Centre and cultural attractions close by. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the cleanliness and helpful staff, while recent reviews give the included hot breakfast unusually good marks for a chain hotel. Comfortable rooms, an indoor pool and a gym round out a dependable, practical stay rather than a boutique experience.

The clearest drawback is parking: the attached city garage costs extra, and guests repeatedly describe tight spaces and awkward maneuvering. Room feedback remains broadly positive, though some guests find the beds firm or the décor tired. We'd choose it for a downtown weekend or convention; we'd look elsewhere if easy parking or distinctive rooms matter most.

  • Best for: downtown weekends without much driving; Boise Centre convention attendees; families wanting breakfast and a pool

  • Watch out for: paid garage with tight spaces; some guests find beds firm; no hot tub despite older listings

  • Location: Walkable downtown setting near restaurants, Boise Centre, museums and entertainment.

  • Rooms: Generally comfortable and well kept; occasional reports of firm beds and tired décor.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across major booking sites and recent guest accounts.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful front-desk and breakfast staff earn repeated praise.

  • Amenities: Free hot breakfast and Wi-Fi, indoor pool and fitness center; no hot tub.

  • Fees and surprises: City-garage parking costs extra; pets incur a nonrefundable fee.
