Axel's take: 7.0/10

A practical airport stop, but maintenance and service need more consistency. a no-frills, budget airport hotel with mostly suite-style rooms, scored for what it is.

Comfort Suites Airport is a no-frills budget hotel that makes most sense for a short airport stop. Spacious suites, free breakfast and complimentary airport transportation give it useful basics. Recent Expedia guests often praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff; we'd consider it for an overnight rather than a Boise vacation base.

The trade-off is inconsistent upkeep. Tripadvisor guests repeatedly describe broken room fixtures and uneven problem handling, while Trip.com reviews also mention aging interiors. An October 11, 2026 Expedia review reported a nonworking elevator; confirm repairs if stairs are a problem. Parking information conflicts: Choice lists a charge while Expedia says it's free. Check that, the incidental hold and shuttle timing before booking. We'd skip it if reliable maintenance or consistently polished service matters more than airport convenience.

  • Best for: overnight airport stops; budget travelers wanting extra room space

  • Watch out for: recurring maintenance complaints; elevator outage reported in October 2026; conflicting parking policies

  • Location: About a mile from the airport and three miles from downtown; better for flight logistics than sightseeing.

  • Rooms: Mostly spacious suites with microwaves and refrigerators, but aging fixtures and equipment draw repeated complaints.

  • Cleanliness: Many recent guests praise clean rooms, though housekeeping and odor complaints show consistency is imperfect.

  • Service: Helpful staff receive frequent praise, but complaint handling and front-desk courtesy divide guests.

  • Amenities: Free breakfast, airport transportation, indoor pool, fitness room and sauna are listed; confirm shuttle timing.

  • Fees and surprises: Confirm parking charges and the incidental hold; the hotel is cashless, requires check-in age 21+, and prohibits pets except service animals.
