Pier 5 is an older 3-star waterfront hotel whose biggest selling point is being steps from the National Aquarium and Pier Six Pavilion. It’s a good pick for a sightseeing or concert weekend if location matters more than contemporary interiors. Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise friendly staff, comfortable beds and clean rooms; some rooms add harbor views or balconies.

The trade-off is condition. Recent Tripadvisor reviews describe worn carpets, tired bathrooms and maintenance problems, while even satisfied Expedia guests mention dated furniture and small repairs.
