Axel's take: 8.1/10

A solid BWI stopover where helpful staff outshine the dated surroundings. a practical 3-star airport hotel near BWI, scored for what it is.

This 3-star airport hotel is a strong pick for a straightforward BWI stopover, rather than a Baltimore sightseeing base. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. The free airport shuttle is a useful draw, while the Bistro, gym and round-the-clock snack market cover the essentials for a short business stay.

The main compromise is age: reviews across sites describe dated rooms and interiors, even when cleanliness and maintenance earn praise. Breakfast and parking cost extra, and the former pool and hot tub are permanently closed—ignore older listings suggesting otherwise. Confirm shuttle timing directly before an early departure, since Marriott publishes conflicting start times. We'd choose it for airport convenience and friendly service, but skip it for a pool-focused family stay or fresh, modern surroundings.

• Best for: BWI overnight stopovers; short business trips; travelers prioritizing helpful staff

• Watch out for: dated rooms and interiors; pool and hot tub permanently closed; breakfast and parking cost extra

• Location: About two miles from BWI; better suited to airport access than downtown sightseeing.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and practical workspaces, but recurring feedback describes dated decor.

• Cleanliness: Generally a strength, with repeated recent praise for clean rooms.

• Service: Helpful front-desk staff are a consistent highlight across guest-review sites.

• Amenities: Bistro, gym and 24-hour market; former pool and hot tub permanently closed.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast and parking are extra; confirm early shuttle availability because published hours conflict.
