Axel's take: 5.3/10

Pet-friendly basics and helpful staff, but upkeep makes this a gamble. a no-frills 2-star roadside motel off I-35, scored for what it is.

This is a no-frills 2-star roadside motel, better suited to a brief driving stop than an Austin vacation. Free parking and a pet-friendly policy are useful, and Expedia and Tripadvisor guests often praise the front desk. Some recent visitors report clean rooms and comfortable beds, but we'd treat it as a fallback rather than a dependable budget pick.

The problem is consistency: recurring reports describe worn bathrooms, faulty room fixtures, weak Wi-Fi and uneven cleaning, including pest complaints. Guests reported remodeling during 2026, and Tripadvisor still lists the pool as closed for repairs; confirm both before booking. Some travelers also describe noise and feeling uncomfortable around the property. We'd skip it for a family holiday, a pool stay or anywhere you need reliable comfort.

• Best for: budget drivers needing a short stop; travelers with pets

• Watch out for: uneven cleaning and pest reports; worn fixtures and unreliable Wi-Fi; reported remodeling and pool closure

• Location: Convenient I-35 access, but car-oriented; some guests report noise and discomfort around the property.

• Rooms: Some updated flooring and comfortable beds, alongside recurring bathroom and fixture problems.

• Cleanliness: Mixed: clean-room praise is offset by repeated dirty-bathroom and pest reports.

• Service: Friendly, helpful reception is a recurring strength, though service is not uniformly praised.

• Amenities: Free parking, pet-friendly rooms and advertised Wi-Fi; connectivity draws complaints.

• Fees and surprises: Confirm remodeling and pool availability; refrigerators and microwaves depend on room type.
