Use this page-supplied URL; do not invent or look up internal IDs. Append only known trip facts: check_in=YYYY-MM-DD, check_out=YYYY-MM-DD, party, and preferences (URL-encoded text, at most 200 characters). Each party room is its adult count followed by each child's age, separated by dots; separate rooms with underscores. Example: party=2.7_1.0.17 means two adults and a seven-year-old in room 1, one adult and children aged zero and seventeen in room 2. Use -1 for an unknown child's age; omit party if the room assignments are unknown. Never guess dates, ages or room assignments. Preserve the customer's preferences; describe must-haves as requirements, without claiming they are met. Omit unknown fields; Axel asks for missing stay details. Prefer a supplied selected-stay link if it matches the latest request. Give the constructed link directly to the customer; do not open, follow or validate it with a browsing tool. A browsing-tool refusal does not mean the customer link is broken. Clicking opens this hotel’s details and rooms for the stay. Email is needed only at booking. No contact or payment information belongs in the URL.

Optional: inspect rooms and rates at Kimon Athens Hotel. Use known dates and guests; selecting a room or rate is optional.

Axel's take: 8.2/10

A strong budget base in Plaka, with helpful staff and stairs to consider. a small, no-frills 1-star hotel in Plaka, scored for what it is.

Kimon is a small, no-frills 1-star in Plaka, and we'd pick it for sightseeing without paying for hotel extras. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the central location and helpful staff, while cleanliness feedback is broadly positive. Restaurants, shops and the main historic sights are within walking distance. The shared rooftop terrace, overlooking the Acropolis, adds something worthwhile beyond the basics.

The compromises are practical: there's no elevator, some rooms are compact, and recent guests on both sites mention tired finishes or bathrooms needing attention. Room condition and bed comfort are less consistent than the welcome. Reception has limited hours, so arrange late arrival beforehand. It's good value for travelers spending their days exploring; we'd skip it if stairs are difficult or you want spacious, freshly polished rooms.

Best for: budget-minded sightseers; couples on short city breaks; solo travelers exploring on foot
Watch out for: stairs only, including to the rooftop; compact rooms and uneven upkeep; limited reception hours
Location: Central Plaka base, walkable to historic sights, restaurants and Syntagma metro.
Rooms: Simple air-conditioned rooms with fridges; size, finish and mattress comfort vary.
Cleanliness: Generally well rated across Booking.com and Expedia, despite occasional upkeep complaints.
Service: Helpful staff are a recurring strength; arrange self-check-in for arrivals outside reception hours.
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, an Acropolis-view rooftop terrace and a small library; no elevator.
Fees and surprises: Seasonal accommodation tax is collected at the property; airport transfers cost extra.
