A friendly, comfortable Palm Beach base, provided you can trade beachfront access for a shuttle. a low-rise mid-range resort near Palm Beach, not directly beachfront, scored for what it is.

This low-rise mid-range resort is a strong pick for travelers who want Palm Beach convenience without a sprawling beachfront hotel. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, spacious rooms and cleanliness. The pool and swim-up bar give it a proper vacation feel, while restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. Marriott advertises breakfast included for two guests and a complimentary beach shuttle—useful extras for this class.

The main compromise is the beach: you’re staying inland, and several guests describe limited loungers and shade in the hotel’s allocated area. Noise from nearby nightlife and some room equipment also crops up, so light sleepers should request a quieter room. Expedia lists a nightly resort fee and a deposit; check what your booking includes. We’d skip it if direct beachfront access or guaranteed quiet tops your list.

• Best for: couples comfortable staying off the beach; families wanting pools and nearby dining; travelers who prefer a smaller resort

• Watch out for: Limited beach loungers and shade; Nightlife and occasional room-equipment noise; Nightly resort fee and deposit

• Location: Near Palm Beach restaurants and shopping; beach access requires a walk or complimentary shuttle.

• Rooms: Generally spacious and comfortable; some guests report intrusive air-conditioning or other noise.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent reviews, despite occasional housekeeping lapses.

• Service: Warm, personable staff earn repeated praise; room-assignment problems appear in some reviews.

• Amenities: Pools, swim-up bar, gym and restaurant; Marriott advertises breakfast included for two guests.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a nightly resort fee and deposit; Marriott confirms complimentary on-site parking.
