A useful downtown base, but room condition and noise make it a compromise. a basic mid-range city hotel near downtown Amman, scored for what it is.

Ammania is a basic mid-range city hotel, also reviewed under its former Signature name. We'd consider it for a short sightseeing stop rather than a hotel-focused stay. Downtown is roughly ten minutes away on foot, and welcoming staff are its most consistent asset. Booking.com's small review sample rates service particularly well, while recent Expedia guests are positive.

The broader picture is mixed. Tripadvisor guests repeatedly describe weak street soundproofing, uneven breakfasts and tired rooms; a June 2026 guest also reported poor cleaning, contrasting with better cleanliness scores elsewhere. Guests reported disruptive renovation work in October–November 2025, but we couldn't establish whether it continues. We'd skip it for quiet nights or dependable four-star polish. Otherwise, request a quiet, refreshed room and confirm breakfast and any ongoing work before booking.
