#3 of 9 hotels in Vastrapur & Bodakdev by Axel's take. Vastrapur & Bodakdev is #4 of 9 places to stay in Ahmedabad. The best hotels in Vastrapur & Bodakdev, ranked · Where to stay in Ahmedabad

Axel's take: 7.8/10

A sensible west-Ahmedabad base, with helpful staff but compact entry-level rooms. a practical 3-star business hotel in Bodakdev, scored for what it is.

Hotel Suba Star is a practical 3-star business hotel in Bodakdev, and we'd shortlist it for a straightforward west-Ahmedabad stay. Recent Tripadvisor and ixigo guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, clean rooms and the food at Cinnamon. Suba's management confirmed the hotel was back operating after renovation by June 2026, making older condition complaints less representative of today's offering.

The main compromise is space: Executive rooms measure just 180 square feet. Recent guests also flag missing desks, chairs or refrigerators in some rooms, so confirm your setup if you'll work here. Ratings vary noticeably between booking sites, so we'd call it a good, practical choice rather than a standout. Check breakfast inclusion and transfer charges; skip it if you need generous rooms or guaranteed in-room working space.

Best for: short business trips in west Ahmedabad; travelers prioritizing helpful staff; visitors with plans around Bodakdev
Watch out for: compact Executive rooms; desks and refrigerators not consistent across rooms; breakfast and airport transfers may cost extra
Location: Bodakdev base suited to west-Ahmedabad plans rather than an old-city-focused visit.
Rooms: Executive rooms are 180 square feet; Premium rooms and suites offer more space.
Cleanliness: Recent guests generally praise housekeeping; older feedback was more uneven.
Service: Friendly, accommodating staff are a recurring strength in recent reviews.
Amenities: Cinnamon restaurant, room service, free Wi-Fi and complimentary parking cover the essentials.
Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion and transfer charges; management confirmed reopening after renovation by June 2026.
