A practical event-night base, with refreshed rooms but some lingering operational rough edges. A renovated mid-range downtown hotel, now Hilton Garden Inn Providence Downtown Convention Center, scored for what it is.

The former Hilton Providence is now Hilton Garden Inn Providence Downtown Convention Center, a mid-range hotel whose strongest asset is its location beside the Amica Mutual Pavilion and convention center. Hilton labels it recently renovated, and the newer feedback is encouraging: Expedia and Booking.com guests praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff.
