Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong airport stopover with helpful staff, clean rooms and a family-friendly pool. a comfortable 3-star airport hotel beside Rivers Casino, scored for what it is.

This 3-star airport hotel is a strong pick for an O’Hare stopover, with more useful amenities than a basic overnight crash pad. Recent Expedia, Tripadvisor and Agoda guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. The free airport shuttle, indoor pool and on-site restaurant make short stays straightforward; families get a children’s pool, too. Rivers Casino is within walking distance.

The main trade-off is what costs extra: parking is charged, and breakfast is not automatically included. Long-term airport parking requires a separate Stay and Fly package. Rooms are practical rather than design-led, so choose it for comfort and convenience, not a boutique atmosphere. We’d skip it for a sightseeing-focused Chicago trip: this is an airport-area base, not a downtown hotel.

• Best for: O’Hare stopovers; families before or after flights; Rivers Casino visitors

• Watch out for: paid parking; breakfast not automatically included; away from downtown Chicago

• Location: Convenient for O’Hare and walkable to Rivers Casino; less suitable for downtown sightseeing.

• Rooms: Comfortable, functional rooms with microwaves, refrigerators and coffee makers.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent reviews and major booking-site ratings.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise, including assistance with disrupted travel.

• Amenities: Free airport shuttle and WiFi, indoor and children’s pools, gym, restaurant and bar.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and breakfast generally cost extra; extended parking requires the Stay and Fly package.
