Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong airport stay with harbor views, but not downtown convenience. a waterfront 4-star airport hotel beside Logan, scored for what it is.

Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor is a waterfront 4-star airport hotel that offers more character than the usual overnight stop. We'd pick it for Logan access, spacious rooms and views across the harbor to downtown—book a harbor-view category if that matters. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise cleanliness, comfortable beds and friendly staff. The free airport shuttle and nearby ferry dock make it practical without a car.

The trade-off is separation from central Boston: sightseeing requires transport, and nearby dining choices are limited. Some guests describe worn decor, and shuttle pickup waits crop up despite broadly positive feedback. A daily destination fee, paid parking and breakfast charges weaken value; Hyatt also says room service is currently unavailable. We'd skip it for a walk-everywhere city break, but it's a very good choice before or after a flight.

• Best for: early departures and late arrivals; travelers wanting harbor-view rooms; business travelers using Logan

• Watch out for: transport needed for downtown sightseeing; destination fee and paid parking; occasional shuttle pickup waits

• Location: Excellent for Logan and waterfront views; the nearby ferry helps, but this is not a downtown walking base.

• Rooms: Spacious and generally comfortable; harbor views require the right category, and some guests find decor worn.

• Cleanliness: Consistently praised across recent Expedia, Tripadvisor and Hyatt-hosted reviews.

• Service: Usually friendly and helpful, with occasional communication and shuttle-coordination lapses.

• Amenities: Waterfront restaurant, seasonal patio, 24-hour gym and free airport shuttle; Hyatt currently lists room service as unavailable.

• Fees and surprises: Daily destination fee applies; parking and breakfast cost extra, and pets incur an additional fee.
