citizenM is a design-led 4-star with compact bedrooms and inviting communal spaces, not a traditional full-service hotel. We'd pick it for a solo downtown stay: recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise cleanliness, helpful staff and the lively lounge. King beds, blackout blinds and tablet-controlled lighting make the rooms comfortable, while the gym and round-the-clock canteen add practicality. Grand Central Market and Metro stations are within easy walking distance.

The main compromise is space. Guests consistently describe tight rooms, limited storage and beds accessible from only one side—awkward for couples.
