Axel's take: 8.5/10
A strong Asian-side choice for marina views, comfort and attentive service. a full-service five-star overlooking Kalamış Marina on Istanbul’s Asian side, scored for what it is.
This full-service five-star overlooking Kalamış Marina is a strong pick for travelers who want Istanbul’s Asian-side waterfront rather than a sightseeing base in the old city. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms and helpful staff; the substantial gym, spa and rooftop dining give you reasons to stay around the hotel. We’d choose it for waterfront walks, nearby restaurants and a less tourist-centered stay.
The luxury experience has some rough edges: room décor draws mixed reactions, and recent guests on Expedia and Tripadvisor report smoke smells and noise in some rooms. Confirm a non-smoking room explicitly. Several Expedia guests also question an additional service charge, so check what your booking includes. The outdoor pool is seasonal and closed in late October. We’d skip it for a short trip focused on Sultanahmet’s sights.
-
