Hotel Plaza is a contemporary 4-star just off Piazza Tasso, and we'd put it high on the shortlist for exploring Sorrento without a car. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests consistently praise immaculate housekeeping, genuinely helpful staff and a generous breakfast buffet. Recent guests also welcome the refreshed rooms. The rooftop infinity pool and Skybar add something special: views across town toward Vesuvius, without sacrificing easy access to restaurants, shops and the station.

The compromises are mostly about space and setting. The pool is small, loungers are limited, and street-facing balcony rooms can pick up nighttime traffic noise.
