    Drottningtorget handles arrival-day logistics, Nordstan supplies the shopping, and Brunnsparken puts much of the tram network close at hand. Walk south into the canal streets or east into Trädgårdsföreningen rather than judging Gothenburg by the station frontage. For a short first visit, this is the least complicated choice.

    Lindholmen and Eriksberg trade the old city’s streets for former shipyards, modern apartments and long waterside walks. Lindholmen has the stronger office-and-campus feel; Eriksberg is more residential, with quayside restaurants and the landmark red crane. Trams 10 and 12 now reach Lindholmen, so the neighborhood is no longer dependent on buses and ferries.

The boulevard supplies the big-night-out atmosphere; parallel Teatergatan and the surrounding side streets offer a more interesting dinner circuit. It works particularly well when you want sightseeing and evenings out without planning separate journeys.

Around Mölndals torg and the Galleria, the emphasis is daily errands rather than visitor attractions.
