7.8/10
A good-value Roma Norte base, with basic rooms and some maintenance compromises.
Hotel Embassy is a no-frills 3-star in Roma Norte, and we'd pick it for neighborhood access rather than hotel polish. Cafés, restaurants and Insurgentes transport are close by, while guests regularly describe spacious rooms and good value. Expedia's recent reviews are particularly positive about cleaning and friendly staff; Trip.com and Tripadvisor also reinforce the location's appeal.
The compromises are older fittings, uneven maintenance and occasional housekeeping misses. Air-conditioning is limited to selected rooms, and guests on multiple sites report leaving ID or a deposit for its remote. August 2026 Expedia reviews describe an elevator outage and construction; its current status needs checking before booking. We'd skip it for a polished stay or dependable step-free access, but it's a practical choice for budget-conscious travelers spending most days out.

A good-value Roma Norte base, with basic rooms and some maintenance compromises. a no-frills 3-star in Roma Norte, scored for what it is.

We'd skip it for a polished stay or dependable step-free access, but it's a practical choice for budget-conscious travelers spending most days out.
Best for: budget-conscious city explorers; couples prioritizing restaurants and transit; short, sightseeing-focused stays
Watch out for: recent elevator outage; confirm repairs; air-conditioning only in selected rooms; older fittings and uneven upkeep
Location: Walkable Roma Norte setting, with restaurants nearby and Insurgentes station about five minutes away.
Rooms: Generally spacious and simple; guests report older fittings, large beds and variable maintenance.
Cleanliness: Mostly praised on Expedia, though several recent Trip.com guests flag floors or linens.
Service: Friendly staff receive frequent praise, but problem handling draws some complaints.
Amenities: Free parking, Wi-Fi and a roof terrace; guests report unreliable connectivity.
Fees and surprises: Confirm AC inclusion and remote deposit requirements; the official site says reservations are held only until 7 p.m., so arrange late arrivals directly.
