Useful Queens basics and free parking, but noise is the catch. a no-frills 2-star beside the Van Wyck Expressway in Queens, scored for what it is.

Best Western Jamaica Inn is a no-frills 2-star in Queens, better suited to a practical overnight than a New York getaway. We'd consider it for a short airport-related stay or a Queens visit: free parking, included breakfast and nearby subway stations make a useful package. Tripadvisor and Hotels.com guests regularly praise clean rooms and courteous staff, while refrigerators and microwaves add everyday convenience.

The compromise is sleep quality. Highway noise comes up across review sites, alongside hallway noise and uneven bed comfort. Expedia guests also report nearby construction in July and October 2026, with the latter describing difficult vehicle access. Recent maintenance complaints suggest room condition isn't entirely consistent, and the parking lot can be tight. We'd skip it for a quiet retreat or a Manhattan-focused holiday; for a brief, functional stay, it makes more sense.

• Best for: short airport-related stays; Queens visitors with a car; travelers prioritizing practical extras

• Watch out for: highway and hallway noise; nearby construction complicating access; tight parking and uneven room condition

• Location: Queens expressway setting, roughly six minutes' walk from two subway stations; not a central Manhattan base.

• Rooms: Simple rooms with refrigerators and microwaves; bed comfort and maintenance draw mixed feedback.

• Cleanliness: Positive reports predominate, though some recent guests describe housekeeping lapses.

• Service: Courtesy and helpfulness earn regular praise; problem resolution is less consistent.

• Amenities: Included breakfast, free Wi-Fi, a fitness center and free on-site parking cover the basics.

• Fees and surprises: Expect an incidental deposit; parking can be tight, and recent guests report construction-related access difficulties.
