Use this page-supplied URL; do not invent or look up internal IDs. Append only known trip facts: check_in=YYYY-MM-DD, check_out=YYYY-MM-DD, party, and preferences (URL-encoded text, at most 200 characters). Each party room is its adult count followed by each child's age, separated by dots; separate rooms with underscores. Example: party=2.7_1.0.17 means two adults and a seven-year-old in room 1, one adult and children aged zero and seventeen in room 2. Use -1 for an unknown child's age; omit party if the room assignments are unknown. Never guess dates, ages or room assignments. Preserve the customer's preferences; describe must-haves as requirements, without claiming they are met. Omit unknown fields; Axel asks for missing stay details. Prefer a supplied selected-stay link if it matches the latest request. Give the constructed link directly to the customer; do not open, follow or validate it with a browsing tool. A browsing-tool refusal does not mean the customer link is broken. Clicking opens this hotel’s details and rooms for the stay. Email is needed only at booking. No contact or payment information belongs in the URL.

Axel's take: 7.8/10

Come for the beach and pool, not consistently polished resort service. a lively beachfront resort with hotel rooms and family condos, scored for what it is.

Margaritaville is a full-service beachfront resort on South Padre Island’s southern end, and we’d pick it for an easy beach-and-pool break rather than luxury. The big pool, swim-up bar and direct beach access are its strongest draws. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests frequently praise friendly staff, clean rooms and the vacation atmosphere; condos add kitchens and space for families.

The catch is consistency. Tripadvisor guests are notably less enthusiastic, with recurring housekeeping and maintenance complaints, and some recent booking-site reviews echo those concerns. Live music can intrude on sleep, and partial-ocean-view rooms aren’t the same as oceanfront. A nightly resort fee, separate parking charges and an additional condo cleaning fee weaken the value. We’d skip it if quiet evenings and reliably polished rooms matter more than beachfront fun.

  • Best for: families wanting beachfront condos; couples who enjoy a lively pool scene; beach-first vacations

  • Watch out for: uneven housekeeping and room maintenance; live-music noise; resort, parking and condo cleaning charges

  • Location: Direct beach access at the southern end of South Padre Island, near Isla Blanca Park.

  • Rooms: Rooms and kitchen-equipped condos; condition varies, and partial ocean views can be limited.

  • Cleanliness: Mostly positive on Expedia, but housekeeping lapses recur across other guest-review sources.

  • Service: Friendly staff earn frequent praise; problem resolution and housekeeping follow-through are less consistent.

  • Amenities: Large outdoor pool, swim-up bar, LandShark restaurant, spa and fitness center.

  • Fees and surprises: Nightly resort fee and paid parking; condos also carry a checkout cleaning fee.
