#6 of 9 hotels in Ashram Road & Riverfront by Axel's take. Ashram Road & Riverfront is #1 of 9 places to stay in Ahmedabad. The best hotels in Ashram Road & Riverfront, ranked · Where to stay in Ahmedabad

Axel's take: 7.5/10

A practical budget base for metro access, with uneven housekeeping and breakfast. A simple budget hotel on the fourth floor opposite Gandhigram metro, scored for what it is.

The Grand Suites is a simple budget hotel, not a grand all-suite property. Its fourth-floor setting opposite Gandhigram metro makes it a practical base for short Ahmedabad visits. We'd consider it for convenience and value: recent ixigo guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms and helpful staff, although Booking.com's overall verdict is noticeably less enthusiastic.

The trade-offs are compact rooms and inconsistent delivery. Hotels.com guests mention cleaning lapses, uneven professionalism and breakfast arriving too late; others praise the staff and cleanliness. A February 2026 guest also reported construction, but we couldn't confirm whether work continues. We'd skip it if you need spacious accommodation or reliably prompt morning service, and confirm the construction status before booking.

  • Best for: Budget-conscious city visitors; Short business stays; Travelers using the metro

  • Watch out for: Compact rooms and occasional cleaning lapses; Breakfast timing and selection; Construction reported in February 2026; current status unconfirmed

  • Location: Fourth floor of Mohini-2, opposite Gandhigram metro, near Sakar-1 rather than inside it.

  • Rooms: Air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms; entry-level rooms are listed at roughly 180 square feet.

  • Cleanliness: Mostly positive feedback, but individual guests report missed bathroom cleaning and unclean bedding.

  • Service: Helpful, polite staff receive regular praise, though professionalism and responsiveness vary.

  • Amenities: Listings include Wi-Fi, a lift, laundry, a 24-hour desk and vegetarian dining.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast inclusion depends on the booking; parking is advertised free, but a guest reported availability problems. Confirm both directly.
