It’s a strong pick for central convenience and dependable comfort rather than cutting-edge luxury. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff; breakfast also earns frequent compliments. Shopping, Schlossplatz and the opera are within walking distance, making this a practical base for business trips and short city breaks.
The biggest compromise is the Stuttgart 21 station construction: guests describe an unattractive outlook and a longer walk from the platforms than the address suggests. Some recent reviews also find the interiors dated for five-star expectations. Don’t book for a swim—the former pool is no longer available, although sauna, steam bath and gym facilities remain.
