Hotel Unger is a traditional independent 4-star near Stuttgart’s main station, better chosen for convenience than contemporary style. It’s a strong pick for business trips and sightseeing without a car, with Königstraße and central attractions within walking distance. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness, helpful staff and an unusually varied breakfast buffet. Those strengths make it a dependable city base, even if the interiors don’t impress everyone.

The main compromise is room condition: recent Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews describe some rooms as tired, while street-facing rooms can be noisy. Ask for a quieter room if sleep matters more than the outlook. Nearby Stuttgart 21 station construction also means longer walking routes to mainline platforms than the hotel's proximity suggests.
