Casa Mexicana is a mid-range downtown hotel with a 4-star listing, and we'd choose it for exploring Cozumel rather than staying inside a resort. Its waterfront location puts restaurants, dive shops and the ferry within walking distance. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, welcoming staff and the included breakfast. Ocean-view balconies are the rooms to target; overall, it's a strong pick for comfort and convenience.
