Axel's take: 7.7/10

Good budget basics near the theaters, but room upkeep is not completely consistent. a no-frills 2-star motel near Branson’s theaters, scored for what it is.

Willow Tree Inn is a no-frills 2-star motel that makes sense for a Branson trip spent mostly out sightseeing. We'd consider it for the value: Expedia and Booking.com guests generally praise clean rooms, friendly staff and convenient access to attractions. Breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi are included, and the picnic area and seasonal outdoor pool add useful extras without turning this into a resort.

The trade-off is consistency rather than a wholesale failure of the basics. Most recent feedback is positive, but several fall 2026 Expedia guests report inadequate hot water or unpleasant room odors, while housekeeping and front-desk help receive occasional criticism. The pool is listed as operating May through September. We'd skip it if dependable room condition is your priority; travelers with mobility needs should confirm their exact room arrangements before booking.

  • Best for: budget-conscious sightseeing couples; families traveling by car; short theater breaks

  • Watch out for: recent hot-water and room-odor complaints; pool operates seasonally; confirm mobility-friendly room arrangements

  • Location: Convenient theater-district base near Highway 76; best suited to exploring Branson by car.

  • Rooms: Simple, exterior-access rooms; guests often find them comfortable, but maintenance is uneven.

  • Cleanliness: Mostly praised across sites, with some recent complaints about floors and room odors.

  • Service: Friendly staff and breakfast service earn frequent praise; problem handling is less consistent.

  • Amenities: Included breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking, plus guest laundry, picnic space and a seasonal outdoor pool.

  • Fees and surprises: Early check-in can cost extra; contact the property before arriving after 10 p.m.
