Lakes Hotel is a full-service 4-star in West Lakes, and we’d pick it for lake-facing balconies, generous rooms and an easy stay outside central Adelaide. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise comfortable beds, helpful staff and clean rooms. Free parking, an indoor heated pool, a spa pool and several dining options make it particularly practical for families and couples who want plenty on site. Westfield is directly opposite.

The trade-off is polish: some rooms and bathrooms feel dated, and guests on multiple sites flag older televisions and occasional maintenance shortcomings. Breakfast earns plenty of praise, but inclusion varies by booking, so check rather than assume. This is lakefront, not beachfront, and central Adelaide is roughly a 20-minute drive away. We’d skip it if walking to city sights or having freshly updated interiors matters most.
