Quest on Franklin is an upscale serviced-apartment hotel, not a full-service luxury stay, and it delivers well on that basis. Its strongest selling points are useful apartment layouts and an easy walk to Central Market, Chinatown and city trams. Recent Expedia and Agoda guests repeatedly praise cleanliness, comfortable beds and helpful staff. We'd shortlist it for families, work trips and longer stays; book a one-bedroom or larger apartment for a full kitchen and private laundry rather than a studio kitchenette.

The compromises are mostly practical: paid parking is off-site, housekeeping skips Sundays and public holidays, and some guests report street noise on lower floors.
