- **The block:** The Broadway entrance puts you among East Village storefronts, cafés and restaurants rather than beside the waterfront resorts. A pet-supply shop is next door. MOLAA is 15 minutes on foot, giving you a useful inland outing as well as downtown dining.
- **Getting around:** Walk for downtown meals; nearby 1st Street station provides rail access. For waterfront outings, the Aquarium is 17 minutes by transit or 7 by taxi; the Queen Mary is 7 by taxi. Use a car or rideshare for airport transfers and wider regional trips—the hotel has no shuttle.
